Top 10 Tallinn Startup sign.online gets set for 12 months of strategic growth

The official HackerNoon Startups of the Year 2024 award badge for Tallinn, celebrating sign.online's placement as a top 10 company.

TL;DR:

As sign.online celebrates three years since our founding and recently being honoured as a top startup in Tallinn, we now look forward to implementing our new growth strategy over the next 12 months and beyond. We have ambitious plans to further develop our secure turnkey offerings for business and government clients, expand into target markets, and grow our revenue stream.

Earlier this year, sign.online was ranked 6th by Hackernoon in its “Startup of the Year 2024” in Tallinn, Estonia. This incredible honour, earned amidst 255 formidable startups, validates our mission to support global mobility by bringing Estonian Gold-standards in digital signing to the rest of the world.

As sign.online marks just over three years since we launched in record time on stage at London Tech Week, Hackernoon’s recognition also fuels our small team with extra motivation to implement sign.online’s new growth strategy in the coming years.

CEO and Co-Founder of sign.online Martin Nørgaard Gregersen said about the honour:

“In the world of technology, some moments stand out as powerful affirmations. They tell you that the complex problems you’re tackling and the vision you’re pursuing resonate not just within your team, but with the wider tech community. For us at sign.online, being named one of the Top 10 Startups of the Year in Tallinn by HackerNoon is exactly that kind of moment. It’s an achievement we are incredibly proud of. A huge thank you to everyone who voted and supports our journey.”

A Milestone Forged in Europe’s Digital Heartland

Tallinn, Estonia, isn’t just our headquarters; it’s part of our DNA. This city is a living blueprint for a society built on digital trust. Being recognised here, in a global hub for digital innovation, feels particularly special. It reinforces our belief that secure, accessible, and globally interoperable digital identity is not a niche concern. It is the future of how governments support citizens and provide public services and transactions digitally, securely, and seamlessly.

This award is more than just a title. It represents:

    • A Vote of Confidence: Recognition from HackerNoon’s sharp, tech-savvy community confirms that our relentless focus on building a truly secure platform for borderless digital signatures is hitting the mark.

    • A Surge of Motivation: It fuels our passion to continue simplifying the complexities of cross-border agreements for everyone, from individual entrepreneurs to global enterprises.

    • A Renewed Promise: A commitment to our users and partners to keep innovating and delivering the most trustworthy solutions for the challenges of tomorrow’s digital world.

We want to extend a huge congratulations to the other top-ranked startups, including Hyperhumans, KROCKIO, Marmend, Lawato, and Implica Global Corporation. It’s an honour to be in such great company.

Most importantly, a massive thank you goes to our community, our partners, and everyone who took the time to vote for us. Your support is the foundation of our success. The journey to build a truly global network of trust is just beginning, and we’re excited to have you with us.

From Recognition to Action: What’s Next

For sign.online, being recognised as a top startup in Tallinn comes at a crucial moment in our journey. As we put the finishing touches on our strategic growth plans for the next few years, acknowledgement of our trajectory both energizes our mission and accelerates our next steps.

We’re more committed than ever to rolling out tools like our Decision Helper, expanding our library of over 40 global signature methods, strengthening our platform against emerging digital threats, and further developing turnkey solutions for business and government clients. By focusing on such high potential clients, we aim to target our product and the value it brings to those who can benefit most in terms of time saved, costs avoided, and trust gained. This way, we aim to grow our revenue stream over the next 12 months, which will in turn support our efforts to further scale.
