GDPR grants all European citizens rights over their data. Specifically:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union regulation on data protection and privacy in the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA). The GDPR is an important component of EU privacy law and of human rights law, in particular Article 8(1) of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. The GDPR’s primary aim is to enhance individuals’ control and rights over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business. Superseding the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC, the regulation contains provisions and requirements related to the processing of personal data of individuals, formally called “data subjects”, who are located in the EEA, and applies to any enterprise — regardless of its location and the data subjects’ citizenship or residence — that is processing the personal information of individuals inside the EEA.[1]

How we handle your data

When you create contracts with sign.online, you are sent a sealed PDF to your email. All contracts are stored for 7 days and deleted automatically — so if you accidentally delete your contract, we can recover it within 7 days.

All personally identifiable information about you is anonymised after all parties have accepted the contract and the signing process is complete.

If you are a B2B client with a custom workflow integration, we will retain your personally identifiable information so that your service can function.

Export your data

If you would like a report of any data we hold about you, request an export and we’ll send the report by email as soon as possible.

Erase your data

If you would like us to erase any data we hold about you, request an erasure and we’ll send confirmation by email as soon as possible.
